Gary Neville

With United fans contemplating that Jose needs to go I have noticed that most see Zidane as a good option.

I wonder why no one has mentioned Gary. Absolute club legend, knows the game, knows the club, has some managerial experience and the fans can get behind him nicely.

Alternatively, he can come in as care taker until end of season and if its not working he can go back to punditry.

Thoughts.

Gerrard is doing a terrible job at Rangers.

He was doing an amazing job until we drew 3-3 with Motherwell on Sunday but now it's terrible. This is how Scottish football works.

To be fair he did make a sub 3-2 up with added on time completed at a corner and we conceded so he does for the first time deserve blame for something not going right.

I can’t believe he has you on the cusp of the group stages. He’s essentially taking a Sunday league team into europe.

If Utd fans can't see that their players are as much to blame for this mess then I've lost all hope.

We need to employ some sort of mentor or director for the players. Someone to motivate them, coach them and give them tactics to follow. You cannot blame Mourinho for us not having someone to perform this role to get the players performing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My point exactly. You can't blame Mourinho for Lukaku missing sitters like that. Or blame Mourinho for inept ability of players like Lingard & Fred barely having the ability to pass a ball or Pogba for having no motivation to do anything of note other than taking the half chance from distance because he's after sefl glory. These things are out of Mourinho's hands once the players step onto the pitch.

The first half showed that the tactics worked. The players let him down.

Apart from being "barry"d... He signed 3 of the four you mentioned... So yes you can blame him and his judgement

He's had a great start tbh

Think your scouts should get a nod tho... The Croatian left back has some left peg on him and Katic looks a good signing

Doubt Gerrard had much knowledge of the Croatian league or knew much on Goldson who bar the motherwell game has been excellent

...............

It wasn't rocket science. A lot of United fans did as well.

No one even our own fans gave us a chance of getting to the Europa groups, we are 90min away so that is a huge plus.

Two very late sickeners in the league have cost us points and curtailed the optimism.

Signings have been good though. Goldson wasn't comfortable in a back 3 and looked like he had the wrong studs on. Been so good so far so i'll write that off as a bad day at the office.

Biggest week of his career so far in managerial terms now though. Lose the next two and he'll get written off up here.

Has Gerrard kept his high intensity style with the Rangers team?

If so the late goals will fade out as the players get more fit (pause).

Rangers will qualify for group stages with an away win at Ufa.

0-1.
