Saiz bashing

I’m not guilty but I understand why many bashed Saiz.
Now it appears he the best thing since sliced bread. It’s a fickle world.
Even though I’ve always defended him, still has a long way to go

He has vastly improved as has the whole squad but still think he picks the wrong pass & delays too much but room for improvement. He is far from the finished article.

this. a little bashing isn't a bad thing.
constant harping about a player no matter how they play is not constructive. saiz last year let the team down. very glad he seems to have his head together again.

The reason I bashed him last season was the lack of work ethic and discipline. That has been better so far this season. That makes me happy. Now I want to see him maintain it.

If a player doesn’t play well, he gets bashed

Saiz was garbage for six months and rightly got bashed.

Now he’s playing well, he’s getting rightly praised.

That’s logical to me, what’s the problem ???

Spot on.

I might add that players who are not trying are more likely to get bashed.

If Saiz 2018/19 can challenge for headers, make the odd tackle and pressure the opposition why didn’t the 2017/18 do any of this.

LIW, no problem but many said he wasn’t a player. He’s always been a player

Good players need good players around them, great players need great players around them. 1 man can perform but will not get a result

The thing about Samu is that he has wonderful close control, and balance, but he needs to improve his end product. He seems to choose the wrong pass or scuff his shots a lot more than someone with his skills should. Hopefully, it's just a confidence thing, and when he gets a couple of goals, he will play with a lot more menace.

Much as though I hate to stoop to this level and mention a player form this team....

Pogba....Loved him at Juve, he was surrounded by probably the best back 4/5 in world football (as a unit).

He was left literally to do as he pleased / express himself and tbh he was excellent, the very moment he moved to THEM, it was SO obvious he wouldn't be able to replicate that.

Now it isn't the same with Saiz as the players are virtually the same, but now we have a Worldie of a coach that has people organised and coherent. That is the comparison I'd make.

Saiz now sees his effort is not only matched by others but is also effort that is effective, therefore it encourages him to replicate (along with the others).
