I hate sitting at games, when i'm watching my team even at home i can rarely sit down

Spend most of my time standing about five feet from the screen shouting at it.

Don't Celtic have this at the moment? Anyway it seems like a step forward but after all the stuff that came out of Hillsborough and the subsequent issues I can't see a Conservative govt backing this at the moment.

In this era of health and safety, it'll never last unfortunately.

One incident, however innocent will cause it to be repealed because our government think they know what we want better than us.

I think Spurs have already allocated part of the new stadium for safe standing should the law change & will be able to switch it over immediately

Great forward planning if that’s the case, I don’t think it would take much to implement it at most top grounds if it’s given the go ahead.

Yeah, I think its time to give it a try but obviously its an emotive topic. Would love standing on that Bl00dy great stand we have behind the goal at Spurs

South Stand has been built to accommodate it Diamond

Yea Spurs have a 1:1 ready to go for the bottom half off our south side “kop” stand

I am all for it. Would be great to see rail seating in the Kop at anfield. Rarely anyone sits there anyways, so why not make it safer with a potential increase in capacity.

The only problem I can for see with safe standing is the scrutiny will be huge. All it takes is for one kid to fall over and there will be outrage.

I'm all for it personally but not sure it'll last.

Put an age restriction on it, over 18 only.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, rail seats/standing is safer than what we have now. When fans stand in a seated area and surge forward people fall over the seats and people in fronts of them, the rails will stop that.

Can’t wait for it personally, I hate having to sit at football.

Fantastic news.

Standing was not to blame for 89, the other measures have dealt with that. Proper ticketing mainly, better policing.
