Could it be more disappointing?
Wolves away.
The most apt word to describe the tie is 'nondescript'.
League Cup Draw...

Well, it's better than drawing Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Forest, Derby or Millwall.
But not much better.
I guess we'll see whose reserves are most up for it.

Much rather have had any of the above, except Millwall away (been there, not sure its something I want to repeat).
At least Derby or Forest would have given us some proper local interest.

Spurs away could have been interesting. Pick a ground anywhere in the country.
Its always interesting when we play the Woleves

This is fine by me. I’m excited to see how our squad performs in this tournament.

My only criteria for a ‘good draw’ these days is to be as winnable as possible. At home is good and, preferably, against a lower league side. On that basis this one looks quite tough, but not impossible. At least we have a good squad these days in terms of depth.
We don’t need to hope to draw a big club anymore, for some sort of big day out, as we’re in the Premier League. The likelihood is that we’ll have to play a big six club at some point anyway if we’re going to win it.
Winning the League Cup is something a club our size should be aiming for. It’s probably our most realistic chance of major silverware.

It's not as bad as it could have been, away to most teams isn't brilliant - Millwall would have been awful; been there, never want to return thanks, dreadful experience!
Exceptions would have been the City ground or Pride Park, where we could have rolled over a mid-table Championship side with our reserve team to show them just how much of a gulf there is between our clubs these days 😁
Wolves away is difficult, but winnable; if we'd been drawn against the likes of Chelsea or Man City it would have likely been the end of our campaign.
