If Alex Ferguson & Sir Brian had been afforded the meagure amount of time that some fans and owners would restrict a manager to now; football history would be very different.

That’s modern football, Bear. A bit too fraught overall and definitely not the better for it.

As stated earlier, in no way looking for a managerial change. Frustration arises out of same old mistakes being made and seemingly not being learnt from.
Bridcutt and Watson worked well against Newcastle. Colback and Watson hadn’t against Birmingham....

Bear actually made a decent point ✌️

Well at the very least the loss to Brentford gives the Derby fans something to do over the International break.
Welcome back.
We've played six games and our record sits at W1D4L1.
A decent point away to Bristol (6th), an excellent unrewarding draw versus West Brom (9th), then just enough to beat Reading (24th). Followed up by a draw away against an excellent Wigan (10th). A poor performance, but an excellent fight back against Brum (20th) and then an away loss to Brentford (5th) who were in fairness, brilliant.
Derby have beat Reading away (24th), lost to Leeds (1st) and lost to Millwall (16th) away. Followed up by home wins against Ipswich (23rd) and Preston (19th) before another Away win at Hull (21st).
I wouldn't get carried away with a Derby revolution just yet.
You've played one team higher than 16th. Forest have played four in the top ten. Surely even the most blinkered Derby fan would say you've had the easier start to the season?
However, you can only win what is put in front of you of course. So, well done Derby, you've beaten every team that is 19th or below. I've not seen you play, I'm sure it could be champagne football? Answers please.
It gets better still after the break. You play Rotherham (15th) away, then Blackburn (13th) and Brentford (5th) at home. I'd expect maximum points until you play your second top half side in Brentford.
Then to finish off before the next International break, it's Bolton (8th) away, Norwich (17th) at home and QPR (22nd) away.
Perspective anyone? .
Forest have Swansea away (7th), then Rotherham (15th) and Sheffield Wednesday (11th). Then Blackburn (13th) away, then Millwall (16th) at home, before Boro away (2nd)...before the break.
So, that'll three teams in the top half for Derby, two of those being played away....vs.....seven for Forest, with five of those being away.
If we can get near top six with those fixtures lined up (and if AK doesn't get sacked), then it'll represent a decent start to the season.
But, despite the stats, Forest have been largely poor. With the excellent win against Newcastle sandwiched against the utter dog sheet that was Brum and Brentford.
Colback and Watson were both in the middle and for whatever reason, that pairing isn't working. Colback and Guedioura, or, Bridcutt and Watson have seen us perform best.
The defence was better, but were completely overran because of the midfield. Cash and Osborn changed the game (briefly), but either of Colback or Watson could have been subbed at half-time.
Murphy was back to his wooden best.
Discipline was embarrassing.
The two weeks has come at a good time for Forest. Swansea away is another solid test and it's good that as I said, were ticking off these tricky Away games. We'd have played 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 10th away. By the end of October you can add Bolton (8th) and Leeds (1st) to that list.
That would see 15 games gone and 7 out of the top 10 have been played away. If we can start putting a few more points on the table, say W3D3L3 from those additional nine fixtures (5 Away / 4 at Home) we'll be on 19 points, with 15 played (8 Away).
I'd expect us to be play more like a team and for the full ninety by the end of October. With 31 games left to play and the majority of the worst Away fixtures played. If we've shown little improvement by then, I'll be worried.
As it is, it's just dissapointing, based on the performances against West Brom and Newcastle. Very early days and a lot of room for improvement.
Clutching at straws? Maybe. A heavy dose of realism? Definitely.
Enjoy the break!!

Well reasoned post, 'Chile.
In addition I think it should be made clear that our two best performances have been against probably the two best teams we have played, even though Newcastle played a few reserves.
We still need to be patient. As the great man sang:
"The first one now will later be last,
For the times they are a'changing"

Good analysis, Morn. The break should give Karanka and his crew time to have a proper analysis of the opening shots of the season. He may well reach the same conclusion about midfield that a lot of people are pointing out. We shall see...
