Final Squad for this Season

Just take a glance it it should be clear we have now the strongest squad by quite some way since the fall. Gerrard aimed to get 2 quality players per position and I think we can agree we are well on our way to succeeding!

Across the squad we have certainly 2 minimum good options per position. I know some may have concerns after sunday, but lets look at it this way. Unlike last year, Celtic failed to rip us apart in defence and their domination stemmed from winning the midfield battle. Are we surprised really. Their centre midfield pairing of Brown and Ntcham has set them back £9m. Jack, Arfield, Ejaria and Coulibaly (not that he played) have cost £0 in transfers.

I think we can all predict where the next round of investment will be targeting, especially when we are talking about Macallister and Gerrard making the choice! Lets hope they replicate what they did when they identified centre backs as a weakness!

But although it seemed that celtic had an edge there, the gap is well and truly closing, and titles aren't decided in old firm games. We still have more than enough quality in that squad to mount a challenge over this season! Exciting times to be a Ger. Still can't wait for our first glimpse of Grezda!
