"Eric Cantona has criticised Jose Mourinho’s tactics and says he would restore Manchester United’s attacking style of football if he was to replace the manager.
Cantona says Mourinho is a fine coach but has slammed his team’s style of football and claims Pep Guardiola – or himself – would be a better fit for Manchester United.
‘I like Mourinho. He has a good personality but not for United – they should have [Pep] Guardiola as coach,’ Cantona told the Mail on Sunday. ‘He should be there, but he is doing magic with that other club. The club I cannot name. ‘It is early in the season… too early to tell. Manchester United is a great club and will always be great.
‘They will win things, I know they will. But the way they play? Not good. The manager has them playing the wrong way for the fans. No fun, no creativity. ‘I would like to coach and if they called me I would go. I would enjoy it. They know where I am. Then we would play creative football again. ‘It would be great for the fans, like it was with Alex Ferguson – he allowed players to be creative, treated them as individuals. All felt loved. He was always praising. A good man, a good leader.’

It would take someone with his personality to make it work. There's no evidence out there to show he could do the job but we need someone with his "persona".

Club legends,especially the legends with "King" as their moniker,do appallingly horrible as saviours. Eric is getting a little punchy methinks. We'd all love to see him come back, but I don't want him to coach us. Handing out drinks and towels, maybe.

2nd isn't worth anything really. top 4 is all you need.
no one was winning the league last year except city.
this year will be different, more competitive and i just don't think jose will finish better than 4th.
not finished but not good enough for utd.
