So just watched the highlights of this game because i wanted to see how spurs set and played considering we are playing them this Saturday, with spurs winning 0-3 i thought they may have dominated and limited utd to a few chances.
Well, nothing like...in fact i should imagine maureen gave lukaku a rocket because he missed some sitters, not only that but a few others went astray as well. Its true spurs also had other good chances but Utd were much the better side for the 1st 45.
What this could mean for us, well i suspect if spurs afford us the space they did to utd then our front 3 are likely to be much more clinical than utds!!
Cant wait for the game....vorm in goal too

Btw spurs fellas.
Watched the 4-1 from last season and 3 of those 4 goals were down to Lovren and Mignolet tge flappa.
When Son scored he sprinted past Milner too....i suspect keita will cover any breaks this time and of course Lovren and Migs are out of the team.

Mmm...I think if Liverpool are to be taken seriously for the title we have to beat spurs, I think we will but it will be based on our defence rather than attack.
Keeping a clean sheet for me would be proof that we are a serious serious title threat. If we were to win that would be winning away to Leicester, Spurs and Palace....all very hard to win.

imo the game in the OP was not a great one
a) spurs bottled it a bit first half, if they had a plan it went out of the window. Utd came out and ran around like headless chickens and the spurs players were a bit put off and that first half was just a back and forth.
b) the game changed instantly at HT. Poch got his players together and corrected their plan. mourinho did not. Simply put they applied some actual tactics!
