Compliance Officer to censure Rodgers

Let’s be honest. Ntcham could have been booked twice earlier in the game for deliberate hand ball and a professional foul on Smith as he ran through on the counter. The two yellows he got were correct decisions. Ntcham looked like being sent off the whole 1st half.

Rodgers comments were extremely critical of the match officials performance. I think the officials were actually decent and no controversial or incorrect decisions other than the failure to book Ntcham earlier. Celtic failed to win that game because they were dung, not because of the officials.

“Then when you see it in the corner Olivier is running across to block the ball up the line and the St Mirren plays is falling over as he plays it.

“So from that – and the fact it’s in the corner makes it lively – then the ref falls for it and he gets a second yellow.

“For me it wasn’t a second yellow or a sending off.

“With the officials I don’t think there was a good one between them all this evening. Listen, it’s simple I don’t think they were good."
