Those of us of a certain vintage will see the parallels with one John 'Dixie' Deans. Hardly an athlete, but he could score for fun. 2 hat tricks in consecutive games against the Hibees I recall. 1975 I think.

Always scored v Hibs,Motherwell and Thistle.....hat tricks as well! Never scored against Rangers which is incredible tbh....liked him but Harry Hood and King Kenny were my heroes

Dixie was mercurial.
A real showman.
When he had his scoring heid on he was peerless.
