Milner or Robertson

Two brilliant performances today from two fantastic footballers.

Two of the best value signings we have made in years, but who was better value?

Milner- free
Robertson- £8m

Tricky one.

The fact that Milner is still starting says everything you need to know about Liverpool's other midfielders

Utterly clueless

Milner has had a great career, does nothing amazingly well, but does nothing badly either and is very versatile. Underrated I’d say.

Robertson was the best left back in the league last season, and in terms of value is an utter bargain. To buy something similar abroad with a fancy name you’d be parting 50m.+. He’s a top player who’s probably been as instrumental as vvd in sorting your awful defence out. I wanted him at Utd a long time before you bought him, but he wasn’t shiny shiny enough for ed and Jose. baaastards.

Milner was the better value

Robertson was the more Important signing

Probably agree with that. Robertson has filled a position we have been missing for years and has a long career ahead of him.

Milner on a free was just ridiculous though. The guy is so talented and the ultimate role model professional for any aspiring young player. Widely credited by all his teammates as the fittest player in the squad even at his age.

Would start for any midfield bar City or Chelsea.

Robertson is the steal of the century for 8m, you couldn’t buy him for less than 50m now, Milner is a player I have always like, proper team player and I always hated how he got slaughtered by the English press for his performances for England

100% spot on. He's picked by Jurgen because Jurgen thinks he is the best player in that position for that game on that day.

Now, if you think Jurgen got it wrong, fine, that's your opinion. Jurgen makes mistakes - we all make mistakes - but not just on yesterday's performance, Milly's selection proved - yet again - that that was definitely not a mistake by Jurgen. In fact I would say, this is my opinion, that Milner played the best (Robbo second) individual performance at Wembley. In fact, he was my MOTM. Again.

I could be wrong, but one this one I really don't think so.

Milner all day. Robertson has less defending to do since the opposition will favor attacking the weaker rightside with TAA and Gomez. But of course Robertson has been superb, especially attacking wise.

Granted, I've a weak spot for Milner and admired him even when he was playing for City. He's a rare breed of a true professional that gets stuck in, delivers and never disappoints. All hail the Milner.
