We don’t know who it was

In a remarkably childish thread, I’d just like to point out what one of our posters has said previously on here, when 2 Osijek fans were stabbed on their way to a game against Rangers.

‘Social media is full of those quick and happy to point the finger without a shred of evidence.’

2 things-I look forward to your guesses at to whom actually said this, and secondly how long this thread lasts before there’s a complaint in about it...

Juke, "hoisted by his own petard" read that somewhere recently, looked up what it meant and been wanting tae use it in a post since, nice work sir, nice work👍😂😂

It's always stuck with me, just sounds funny.

Especially when you know it's about someone inadvertantly blowing themselves up with their own bomb

Btw-anyone else think there’s something a bit odd about Peat bringing this up now?! A decade after the event, and when you listen to the interview, completely unprompted? He was asked was there anything he regretted, anything he would have done differently-and he brought up a club chairman allegedly making that call?

You would have thought he would have wanted to have dealt differently about the EBT situation when it was brought to his attention by HMRC, and helped stopped Rangers imploding.

But no, he wants to talk about a phone call that ultimately had no influence whatsoever.

Strange....

Agreed...why even take the interview. He's a nonentity now.
Something funny going on

New Gers chairman.

Or is it chief exec?

It'll probably get more clicks and sales than they usually get.

It was an interview for the BBC sports slot at 6-he was interviewed to air his opinions on governance by the SFA.

Like I said-a bit odd to ask him as he was in charge while rangers were running their EBT scheme, which was brought to his attention by HMRC and he did nothing about it. Maybe not the best guy to ask, seeing as he let them go to ruin after it.

It’s just a strange answer to a question asking ‘was there one thing I wish I had done that, it doesn’t sit well.’ And he brings up a ‘prominent chairman from a club’?!

Plays to the galleries I suppose-as we can see from Esc’s article.

Lapdog idiot Peat. As a nation we've struggled since the late 90's. Be good if we had people there that thought about the greater good of the game, I'm sure there are but they are as frustrated as the rest of us.

POV..you do make a good point here....why did Peat give that answer to that question? How is it relevant?

Could be that he's as doddery as he looks.

Or...maybe he means that he regrets giving lex gold his agreement to extend the season prior to having consulted with club chairmen. He wouldn't have don't that surely?

I just thought it was a strange answer to give. I think it was odd to interview him in the first place, but he’s went off on a bit of a tangent with his answer-especially as they did extend the season anyway.

There’s a surprise.
