Brexit Means Brexit

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45592061

The SPFL and some wee mickey mouse league down south have appealed to the UK government to make football exempt for freedom of movement as and when the UK leaves the European Union in March next year.

Apparently a fifth of all the players in the SPFL are non-British EU nationals and the removal of freedom of movement would be particularly harmful to the game here.

Or, alternatively, it would be a great opportunity to install rules that would be beneficial to the national team

My view is - Brexit means Brexit. This is what we voted for. Suck it up.

Thoughts?

Nope it’s the best thing ever.

Second only to just walking away from the table altogether. 👍

Of all models it's completely unsuitable for the needs of the UK economy.

A trade agreement centered on goods for a service based economy. A bit like fitting a f1 car with monster truck wheels.

Although I'd probably pay to see that

I see the Tories are already scrapping regulations without any parliamentary consultation..

So, in summary, Canada+ is worse than no deal, but no deal is better than a bad deal. So Canada+ cant be a bad deal, logically, otherwise it would be better than no deal. So what is Canada+?

Hold up.. Did you post this before or after Brian Cox? 😂

Good. Governments are voted in to make these kind of decisions or do you want a vote on everything they do?

Anyways

Put it to a vote and see who agrees with a lot of them going 👍

We didn't vote for a Tory government though, hence the £1.5b bribe.

I guess Parliament is just there for sh¡ts and giggles 😂

Saw the time stamps were similar coop and was wondering who got there first.

I'll get all the confirmation I need when he tweets about the idea of a positive Brexit being as dead as jinky 😂

A government disregarding parliamentary scrutiny/democracy, and passing/amending legislation (statutory instruments) is somehow "good"

I suspect regardless of view on Brexit people didn't vote for what is fast becoming an executive power grab.
