SKY SPORTS’ Geoff Shreeves was forced to clarify and apologise to Alexandre Lacazette after a miscommunication in an interview.
Shreeves told Lacazette to be “steady with the language" in response to the Arsenal striker’s comments about Petr Cech’s performance.
Lacazette said His keeper took a lot of balls in the air and he told him to stop swearing. Hilarious lacaztte’s face said it all really!
Lacazette didn’t mean balls in that sense. Give him a break. Idiot!"

Yeah noticed that when it went out live. Idiot. Was pretty obvious what he meant. Even if he said Balls in the swear sense, hardly a bad word to say someone’s has balls. Makes More of a deal out of it if you mention it anyway. Especially in a football context, sensitive parents could always explain to kids that he was referring to footballs

Shreeves was so annoying after the game. He just went on about how unlucky Everton were, the offside goal and Cech being man of the match. Literally all of his post match interviews started like that

When I moved to Germany the way I pronounced herzlich (sort of hearty, warm, nice) was almost identical to hässlich (ugly).
That got me into trouble with my girlfriend's mother.
