Ian Wright may well be on to something here.

IMO, Jose should have him playing on the right (he is quite capable of playing there) instead of Lingard, if he doesn't perform there, then just get rid in January.
There was no need to play him on the left when he came in, what so ever.

Probably not, we didn’t have the luxury as our other forwards didn’t have the same quality as Rooney. That’s exactly why we bought RVP, so we had two quality strikers, because Berba went crap and we released him and Hernandez and Welbeck weren’t at that level.

You said he took his place as the main striker, he didn’t he was bought to play with him as has been explained.
RVP was also much better than Sanchez when we signed him, and the guy that he replaced on the left was playing better than him.
It’s not the same as Rooney and RVP at all.

He did take his place as the main striker. Teams usually have one main goalscorer. Look at Rooney's stats in 11/12 compared to 12/13. Rooney was the team's focal point, he was no longer that when Man Utd signed RVP.
Alexis was one of the best players in the league in 16/17, a few months before you signed him. It's very similar to RVP.

We are talking about positions on the pitch. And the comparison between Sanchez taking Martial’s and him hardly playing since, compared with Rooney who played loads after signing RVP.
Sanchez wasn’t playing well when we signed him. And he’s got even worse since signing for us. He’s been a terrible signing.

It's obviously not an identical situation, but it's the same principle. In both cases you have a player who's playing well (Rooney and Martial) and you wouldn't say there's any reason to replace the player. A world class player (RVP and Alexis) becomes available and Man Utd signs them despite not actually needing the player. In the case of RVP, he takes Rooney's role as the main man in the Man Utd team which eventually results in Rooney getting dropped because he doesn't play anywhere near as well due to losing that role in the team as the focus of the attack. He plays 22 games, fine, but Rooney was Man Utd's best player and undroppable before RVP was signed. For him to struggle the next season would have been crazy to think of and it never would have happened if you hadn't signed RVP. With Alexis it was a little different because Martial was directly dropped for him, but it's pretty much the same situation. You didn't need to sign Alexis or RVP but you did, and Martial and Rooney respectively suffered for it.

But again, Sanchez wasn’t playing like a world class player so there was always question marks over the signing. Though nobody expected him to be this bad, it’s facked Martial over and the club now by having a player in decline on massive wages. The situation wasn’t the same. There was always room for two quality strikers in a Ferguson team.
There isn’t room for two left wingers in a Mourinho one. Mourinho should have done more to get Sanchez performing on the right as he’s been facking shiiiiit on the left.
Mourinho doesn’t even know how to get the best out of this world class player.

It depends on the two strikers, and Rooney definitely suffered from you signing RVP.
Like I said, Alexis played really well in the 16/17 season, so he only had a few bad months at the start of last season in which people thought he had downed tools anyway. There was no reason to think he had declined at that point. I don't think there were question marks over his signing.
And he's tried to get the best out of Alexis by consistently playing him in his best position (on the left). Why would playing him on the right make him play better? his best position is on the left.

Because the team would be better for having Martial and Rashford on that side.
Mourinho can’t get the best out of him as the team isn’t set up to get the best out of him.
Hopefully he’ll be gone after this shower of shiiiiiiit anyway and we’ll get a coach in that likes to play attacking football and can coach attacking players.
Not holding my breath, though.
