On Saturday, Mark Marmite Hughs will bring his team up to the West Midlands to face the in-form Wolves.
Wolves go into the game on the back of wins against West Ham and Burnley and an impressive performance at Old Trafford resulting in a 1-1 draw.
Southampton’s recent results have not been so encouraging, a 3-0 trouncing at Anfield last Saturday was preceded by a draw at home to Brighton leaving them with just one win since the start of the season. One bright point though was having the satisfaction of knocking Brighton out of the Carabao Cup last month.

I have put this post on the Southampton board out of respect for the opposition. However, just like with Burnley, I am not expecting any input from Saints fans as there seems to be no activity on their board.
I just hope that any travelling Saints fans are not suffering from Lupophobia because this game might just realise their worst fears. Saints fans described the atmosphere at Anfield as “flat", they certainly won’t find that inside Molineux!

Gem’s prediction: 2-0

I'm hoping the lads will convert a few more of what seems to be an endless amount of chances we get for a pretty poor return, all will be forgiven if we could net 2,3,4 or more tomorrow, but 1 will do if it secures 3 more points.

We had more shots on target at

feckin fingers I was trying to say we had more shots on target at OT than Totringham who won 3-0.
Who would have thunk that. Coat now or later ?

I don't know why we are not scoring goals. It has nothing to do with prem defences because more times than not the defence has been breached and all that is required is a simple tap in or rounding the keeper in a one on one situation. We were scoring those for fun last season, Costa, Jota, Bonatini, Cavaleiro and even Doherty are all missing chances that we have seen them score with ease before. It's a mystery.

Doc said of his Burnley blooper he was celebrating before he shot.
NOTE TO DOC
Stick ball in net, then and only then, rejoice.

We had a spell last season early on when we were playing well but not scoring many. But we got over it and I think we will again.

Good chance Dendoncker and Cavaleiro will be on the bench tomorrow. But I think Hause and Saiss could miss out because Dendoncker can cover both their positions

Composure.

A little bit of mental calmness is all we need and the goals will come.

I like the look of Gem's bench, that's strong and provides cover in all areas.

Thanks Oldie, Nuno said he liked the look of it last night when I was having a beer with him.

Assuming Nuno starts with the same lineup again for the seventh time, who will he have on the bench? With Dendoncker apparently now match fit and Cavaleiro back, will he have them both as subs? and if so who will get dropped?
My guess MGW and Saiss will miss out and the bench will look like this:

Ruddy
Vinagre
Hause
Bonatini
Traoré
Dendoncker
Cavaleiro
----------------------------------------------------------------------

About right though possibly mgw and not hause.

Cav and Dendoncker make our bench look a lot stronger all of a sudden

Wolves went top of the Premier League 2 table tonight by beating Middlesbrough 2-0 at Telford. Kilman and Goncalves with the goals

Wolves look set to break a Premier League record tomorrow. No club has ever fielded an unchanged starting 11 in the first 7 games of the season

I see Lauro has finally woken up to the fact that Wolves a match for anyone in this league and predicted a Wolves win for today.
Think I prefer it when he predicts a Wolves loss and gets it wrong though.
