7 in a row ☺️

We have been far from convincing in a lot of these games but it’s still 7 wins in a row since back to back defeats to open the season.

Although I doubt we can do it, our next 5 games are all very winnable on paper. It’s been a very long time since we’ve won this many games back to back. In fact, I looked it up and a 6-0 win over Ludogorets was the last of our 7 game winning streak way back in October 2016. It was also Santi Cazorla’s last ever appearance for Arsenal 😢

How long can we keep the streak going?

Playing Auba out wide just kills our control in Mf. Let's be honest, Auba has been pretty poor in the league this season. His link up play is dreadful, he doesn't use his pace on the flanks. He is only suited as the central striker but his lack of link up play means Laca starts.

The attack just isn't free flowing and I think it mainly due to having Auba out wide

I also think we need to start playing Mkhi. He does give our game more flow

I don't think Emery rates Mkhitaryan. I can understand why, he's inconsistent as fack.

Mkhi is shiiiit

Always said it

Would still have him in the team over Ramsey. At least Ozil could move central. Mkhi and Iwobi are the closest we have to wingers in the squad which shows how desperate we are for a quality wideman

Actually wouldn't mind using Lacazette in the Ramsey role. He works really hard off the ball. Aubameyang's finishing is much better and really needs to be the presence in the box.

It's a good run Bats. The sort of thing we used to do under Wenger regularly when we had an easy run of fixtures (until the last 18 months of his reign). Being able to mop up against the smaller teams makes me hopeful that we can secure a top 4 spot.

That’s the thing renoog

We haven’t pulled any trees up but we are still putting away the lesser teams which was the sort of thing that had us in the top 4 every season

I had no expectation of finishing any higher than 6th after our transfer window but you never know, we are only 4 points off top spot. Obviously the gap will get better but I would wager we were probably 10 points off top this time last season

The thing is when Wenger was achieving those wins, you describe renoog, the quality of the premier league was worse. These days because of TV money, players are better and the coaching is better.

So actually I think we are slightly undervaluing Emery's impact.

Just think back to when Fergie retired. Moyes inherited a team that had won the premier league the season before and they flopped.
