That was. Top quality match. 2 brilliant goals, 2 teams trying to play the right way, Chelsea dropped deeper in the second half and let us have he ball but looked to hit us on the counter with pace and almost succeeded.
2 very good keepers too, Alisson made a few fantastic stops and Kepa saves a couple of his own that looked in for all money.
Draw was the fair result imo and it solidified the view that both are going to challenge City this season for me.
What a game

Yeah usually Pedro is the option to replace Willian or Willian would replace him when he starts.

Behind our starting midfielders Barkley had shown himself to be the most up to speed with the tactics but he was poor today

Pedro would have been a good option off the bench and could have made a big difference today.
I just don’t rate Barkley, never really have, even when he was hyped up at Everton I’ve not seen anything to suggest he’s more than mediocre. Loftus Cheek has shown more imo

Eh RLC is a strange one. He looks like he has all the talent to succeed but for some reason managers like him for a bit to start with then go off him
Our other midfield option is Fabregas but he isnt suited to the box to box roles either side of Jorginho

Yeah i get the feeling RLC just doesn’t work hard enough to make the most of his talents.
I don’t think Barkley has the application or the talent to make it for a top 6 club though.

Good game. Good goals. Positive tactics. Endearing coaches. Lovely fans. Wonderful ground. Terrific weather. Fair result.

Pity the Singha ruined it!

When he was at Everton, I thought that Barkley was going to be the next big thing, not just for his club but also his country. He wasn't. He reached a plateau, and there he stayed, definitely no progression.
His move to Chelsea was for me as surprising as it was bad for both player and club. Serri must see something in him though, but its beyond me.

Having seen Livitwuce this week I know think they can win the title. I think though it could well come down to the results agst Man City that determine the Champtilns. That is not usually the case, but I think it maybe so this season.

I think you're right there Biggish. Both teams have it within themselves to win any given game even if they don't play to their high standards and that's the key to winning their title.
I see both them and City staying neck and neck with only their head to heads separating them.
