Toughest and best team that's come to Stamford Bridge this season by far. Excellent performance and excellent fans, deserved a draw tbh. Tough to break down, very resolute, and bar a miracle occurring with Morata actually scoring a goal they done very well. Good going forward too
Look forward to the away game, glad we got the 3 points but special shout out to Vidi, we won't see much better than them at Stamford Bridge this season or much tougher games than that. Will stand us in good stead for the season. Kepa had to make some good saves
Morata whining and moaning about being filmed by the cameras after the game as well, wtf is this guys problem got his goal but another crap performance, can't wait until he leaves.
Kepa 8 - A lot of good saves
Cahill 5 - Lucky not to see red, all over the place a few times
Christensen 5 - Same as above, often out of position and caught napping or mixing stuff up
Emerson 5 - Mediocre first half, good 2nd half, good going forward average defensively
Zappa 3 - just get rid of this guy, lanky, awkward, useless, would make a better boxer
RLC 6 - Solid performance
Kov 6 - Solid performance as always
Fabregas 6 - mediocre first half, lot better 2nd half, more accurate with his passing and put some deadly balls in
Pedro 5 - Standard game, was a bit of a nuisance and got some fitness up for the weekend but didn't do much
Willian 5 - another game he started where he was poor, done next to nothing apart from the assist and corners/free kicks useless as always
Morata 4 - got the goal, but crap at everything else, missed a easy one on one we nearly paid for, and his attitude stinks as always

Barkley 6 - Needs to improve his passing however at least he was busy and pressed well
Hazard 6 - busy as ever

I really feel for Morata. He is a much more technical player than he is being given credit for - he’s just lost his confidence. He even got slated by Chelsea fans to his reaction to scoring because it wasn’t how they wanted him to react. Crazy - he was just overcome with relief the poor guy.
And suggestions that he doesn’t work hard is just plain wrong. He works really hard - not-stop running. I still believe that we need a different and proven goal scorer - but let’s give the guy a break. He deserves more support from our fans.

I didn’t see the reaction cos was down the opposite end, what did he do?
As for the fans, atleast at Games we have been nothing but supportive of him. It’s only on here where we have discussed his weaknesses and how he is hindering the team which for me is not derogatory at all.
As for non stop running, that’s not true, at all. You might feel sorry for the guy and like him but giroud works harder and moves more and giroud is an ultra sloth. So that’s nonsense.
But like I said he is getting nothing but support from the terraces, although not for much longer imo

As strange as this sounds his misses are the only reason i haven't totally wrote him off, to get into scoring positions so regularly is a skill in itself, now im not delusional enough to believe he will suddenly become clinical (if he did he'd trouble the golden boot) but if he keeps having all these chances surely the law of averages give him a respectable output sooner rather than later.

Agree with you no-name. Morata constantly gets into goal scoring positions because, contrary to Nick’s suggestion, he continues to make those runs. He’ll get chances, and hopefully it will snowball once he starts to score a couple of them. But I agree - he’s unlikely to become a world-beater anytime soon. I’ll keep cheering for him though. Seems like a good guy.
