We are winning again because we got rid of Wenger.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But when we were losing it was also because of wenger? Ah I see how this works
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We were losing because of Wenger. Ergo when we got rid of him we are winning. Not sure what you mean?

We lost two games at the start of the season. One to the Champions and the other an away game to our long term nemesis. Are these loses down to Wenger? Of course they are.

Any new manager is going to take time to bed in his philosophies. Changes in training take time to have an impact on the players. And this team is mostly made up players Wenger bought into the club so they will take time to accept and buy-in to the new manager - if at all. If you think back to when Moyes took over a premiership winning team from Fergie none of the players responded to him or his methods. Now as the season has progressed Emery is improving the players slowly. We are playing better and better and we are reducing the mistakes. We are still however making mistakes and we may not see Emery's full impact till he actually sells some of the players who have not improved or at least improved enough to achieve the ultimate target of winning the premier league. The small improvements are being reflected in the results.

Now will we lose a game? Yep. Will it be Wenger's fault? Yep. Because until Emery has had multiple transfer windows and at least a couple of seasons to implement his ethos it cannot be his team.

Now you will say why not credit Wenger for the wins because its mostly still his players. Think abt it. Wenger couldn't get the players he bought to perform. Thats the job of the manager. Emery however is getting a tune out of them. Will it be enough for Champions League qualification which should be Emery's first goal? Who knows? But so far its better than what Wenger did in his last seasons. So many players have have gone public abt the better coaching.

All that writing.... All you had to say was "I will continue to blame wenger for all our misfortunes but any positives from the team will be because of the new manger. I'm a mindless simpleton"

Posters who resort to personal insults are usually the 'mindless simpletons'. You simply have no answer to the points I made.

Your points are myopic and ridiculous. You are simply setting an altered reality when everything negative is wenger and anything positive is Emery. It's childish stuff that doesn't deserve a proper response.

If I wanted to be an idiot I could easily say Ramseys goal was pure Wenger ball, a goal we have seen several times under his reign. I could then list several bias myopic reasons why all our wins are because of wenger and all our losses are because emery playing out back, persisting with Cech. However I'm not an idiot and realise that when we lose it might actually be the fault of the man in charge right now and when we win its most likely because of him too

Do you accept that Wenger bought the players who weren't performing like he wanted them to for at least the last 3 years?

So either the players weren't good enough or they weren't coached well enough. Both Wenger's responsibility!

If they weren't good enough then Wenger bought wrong. His fault. If they didn't perform up to their potential then obviously they weren't coached properly. Again thats the manager's responsibility!

Do you understand why people suggest a new manager always gets a 'free season' at the start of his reign? There is nothing myopic abt it. It is common sense.

The reason why Emery has persisted with Cech is because he is giving him a chance. Just like he has given an opportunity to all Wenger's players. He wants to assess whether they were bad buys or whether the coaching has not been good enough and maybe they can be improved.
