Fitness improvements

First off very good performance today especially Torriera and Lacazzette. One thing that might have gone under the radar this season while we haven't always been playing well but we have been finishing games strongly and it's no coincidence this has happened with the new fitness regime put in place. There are still issues in the team long term we still need a solid midfielder to sit alongside Torriera and the defence still needs work but everything looks positive and we are back where we should be above Spurs.

It's great having a good modern young coach. All due respect to Wenger, but surely people who wanted him to stay can see how he was holding us back? Last year was particularly bad.

C'mon, man. Even under Wenger, beating a team like Fulham who play into our hands the way we did was hardly unusual. Until we play the Liverpools of the league and offer something different, I'm not getting on any bandwagon. Just keeping my fingers crossed and observing. Actually thought the 2nd and 3rd goals when Fulham were applying serious pressure killed off their fight.

Last season you could have seen us draw or lose that game. We capitulated in loads of away games after conceding

That was a long time ago that we were beating teams convincingly away from home under Wenger. The team looks much sharper and fitter it's no coincidence we are finishing games strongly.

Last season's away form was one anomaly in over 20 years Wenger spent here. Just saying we shouldn't read much into a day like today where a perfect storm of convenient events went our way: our clinical finishing, Fulham's abysmal defending etc.

I was actually going to make an article about the fitness. We definitely look a lot fitter and finishing the games better than the opposing teams

Not really the previous season the away form capitulated in the second half of the season which carried on into last season. I Remember an abysmal 3-0 defeat at Palace among others.

I'm obviously not just talking about Fulham though. Are the differences from the old regime not clear to see?

When is the last time we won 9 matches on the trot?

We are a long way from competing for the title but it’s clear we are at least moving in the right direction

It's not just today's win. Nine wins in a row, when was the last time we did that? Nobody is jumping onto any bandwagon, but we got more points this season than last season against the same opponents. We may not win the league and nobody has said we will, but give credit where it is due. We are a much improved team this season, no question about that.
