I'm assuming you all think Pochettino has made no progress at Spurs then too?
---------------------------------------------------------------------

So "progress" is what it`s all about now? Not what you actually achieve, accolade-wise?

Plus poch hasn`t spent a fraction of what klopp has. Or Jose and pep, before that comes up.

Football isnt all about trophies mate if it was why do millions of fans follow clubs who never win them?

Also, it's worth noting that Liverpool may have spent big money in recent seasons but in order to do so we've had to sell off our best players (Suarez / Coutinho).

Up until last window, we had effectively broken even under FSG.

Do you think City would be as effective if they had to sell Aguero, KDB or Silva?

Or Chelsea if they sold Hazard?

etc etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both players wanted to leave.

Again not progress.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That doesn't negate the point I raised.

"Football isn`t all about winning trophies"

An lfc supporter who says it`s not all about winning trophies!!

Absolute twaddle.

And you`re telling me to engage my brain??

Yeah mate there is more to football than just trophies.

I expect liverpool to try win them of course as we're a big club with loads of money. But it's not everything. Last seasons run to the CL final was great, some great games on the way that i thoroughly enjoyed. Losing the final doesn't mean these games didn't happen does it?

Of course i wanted us to win it but we didn't, was disappointing but it's not like the season wasn't still enjoyable.

Take Newcastle as an example, or Everton. Two big clubs who haven't won a trophy in years but sell out every week. Why do these fans go to the games every week when the chance of a trophy is so slim?

Ive a season ticket for ROI, are we ever going to win an international tournament? Very very unlikely so why do I continue to go?

See you may think trophies are everything but so many fans are in it for much more than that.

Be interested to hear your reply to this.

Do you go to games? Do you consider a trophyless season for united as wasted time for you as a fan having spent your time going to games or watching on tv?

I guess the question is would you still be a united fan if united were relegated?

I get that the spectacle and being part of it etc. is a brilliant thing. And unless you`ve experienced it then you won`t understand.

But to sit up on your high horses screaming 5 times tells me exactly how the average lfc fan thinks, whether you admit it or not.

Like i`ve said, with the money spent you lot must expect to win something?

And yes i go to games and yes i`d still support them.

You're equating me to what you perceive to be a liverpool fan though. Your idea isnt reality mate. And most reds, like moist united fans, are not what they're painted as.

This idea of shouting 5 times from a high horse, where do you get this from? I might be wrong but I'd bet it's from faceless people on the internet.

I do hope we win something cause yes we've spent the money to do so. But it's not the be all and end all like you've just admitted.

What matters is what you take from it. If all one does ius focus on winning trophies to lord it over people they don't know online then they're in it for the wrong reason.
