Good for Derby County

The Derby site has died as far as I can tell from the lack of any posts since Monday.. So here’s an attempt to resuscitate it, though it might mean Vidal, with all his medical skills and knowledge, will have to lend a hand.

It’s about Mason Mount and his telling us that his ambition is to make the Chelsea Premier League side. Nothing wrong with that, though I for one, will keep a lingering hope that he will come to so love the newly promoted Derby County (a promotion which his 20 goals and brilliant performances will have helped to achieve) that he decides to stay at least for another season - with Derby in the PL.

Well, the good news behind this story is his declared ambition to play in the Chelsea PL side could be a very good thing for Derby County. That’s because, to achieve his target he will have to put in some super performances and play very, very well for Derby County. And that, my fellow Rams fans, will mean that, given matching play from our DERBY Players and Tomori and Wilson, we can hardly fail to be successful this season. I include in that umpteen goals from Marriott and his finding his feet in the Championship

Good for Mason and good for our other loanees, DCFC and we fans. And who knows, he may come to like being loved by everyone at PP and the club with all the great facilities Mel has invested in

Good night for Wilson, but not so great for Lawrence apparently?

BBC: ...................but wayward finishing from the likes of Tom Lawrence and James Chester mattered little as Ryan Giggs' side recorded a second win from three Nations League games.

I'm worried about Wilson's consistency, he has been poor in the league for us. I don't think he is suited to the Championship.

I watched the 2nd half and Wilson did well and scored a beauty. I agree with those of you who say he needs to step up for us, I hope he does.

Lawrence looked poor, he had the ball with a man free but decided to shoot which ended near the corner flag, greedy. He kept losing the ball as he usually does, he has had plenty of time at Derby to either play better or not at all. He will be 25 in January so he isn't a youngster any more.

Ireland were poor, they just kept lumping the ball upfield. It was nice to see Keogh, Hendrick and Christie but I'd like to know why Cyrus was getting booed?

Mrs VC is not very pleased about the kick off time on Saturday and now Rupert has sold out I don't know who to blame.

Blame the FA VC.

Selling Wembley to the Arabs, is there anything else left to sell in this country?

Why don't they make players on £Gazzillion a week contracts pay a levy towards "grassroots" football if they are worried about funding it?

And who's paying for all the publicity that womens footie is getting ATM? Is anybody really interested, (the crowds they get would suggest not)? I have no interest myself and i'm not knocking it, but it really is getting rammed down my throat.

Actually, I sat down and thought I recognised you. I was quite hung over so quickly forgot about it. Thanks for doing that by the way we will return the favour sometime.

Small world that they are in the same halls, I wonder if they know they met each other when they where 12.

Yes, I reminded them they used to play Footie V each other.

I actually gave your lad a lift to a DCFC away match once when the Roadrider had broken down! Long story

He recognised me straight away. Nice lad

They both played in the same team this afternoon. Lost 4-1. Looks like they are getting sorted socially which is a weight off my mind.
