Eden Hazard has won, deservedly so, Player of the month.
But I done a little digging and he has only ever won it once before, despite winning a player of the year award.
Makes me wonder how much football whoever votes for these things actually watch, as now he's banging the goals in, he has won the award. Weird that.
Not a massive deal, just a thought though how often the silvas/hazards/kantes/alderweirelds/azpilicuetas/vertonghens have won the award.
Consistently high performers who may not get the recognition due to a lack of goals but do so much more and keep their teams ticking.
Have ronaldo and messi skewed the way we judge fooballers? And is it coming back around with the appreciation Modric is now receiving.
Goals are the most important thing in football, but would a zidane/kaka/cannavaro be as appreciated nowadays?
