Harvey Barnes

I keep seeing report after report that this guy is ripping it up in the Championship. I must admit that I was initially quite surprised as he’d not stood out in his very limited exposure to the first team at Leicester.

I’d be interested to know from those much better informed than me: is he really that good? Also, what’s best for his immediate future?

I’d say leave him at West Brom. That’s assuming that we don’t have an injury crisis or our annual flirt with relegation.

He’s clearly settling in well there and regular football in, hopefully a promotion chasing team, will do him the world of good. Then, perhaps, we might have a first team ready player at the start of next season.

I saw him score a great goal near the end of the Sky “live” Sheffield Wednesday-West Brom match.

My instinct is to leave him where he is for now and let him be part of what looks like an automatic promotion bid. Then we have a great effective new signing for next season.

Exactly that. And he just doesn’t pull off the white suit.

He's seriously talented. He plays as a no.10 in a 3-4-1-2. With two good strikers in front of him, he's a real handful.

Take it Leicester wouldn't sell him? Can't see how sitting on Leicester's bench would help his development, but Puel may want more options if you're pushing for Europe.

Barnes is an awful player and is in no way ready for Premier League football.

If I were Leicester i'd offload him on a free to Albion!

Ok, then it’s quite clear that we should recall him from West Brom and send him on loan to a team that is less likely to make a challenge for PL football.
