BBC saying he's close to signing a long-term contract at United, What a turnaround by him, He was getting criticised by Mourinho a couple of years ago, He now looks like he's staying at the club for the next couple of years, Fair play to him.

Good news. Credit for him for succeeding in spite of Mourinho. Jose has done everything in his power to get rid of Shaw and bring in Sandro or some other older big name player. Everything from keeping him out of the team to insulting his intelligence.
Fair play to Luke and the club for backing him over Jose. Reaping the rewards now. Could have been another player we need that we could have lost because of Jose.
We needed a performance from Shaw this season and it looks he is going to deliver
Sadly the rest of the team is mostly crap.

Bit early to be giving him a new contact, he’s been decent but it’s only a handful of games. Is that what we do now, play a few good games get a bumper contact?

There’s no guarantee Valencia will win in Switzerland - they are pretty poor this season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How is scraping a draw at home to them evidence of doing reasonably well then

Because we have 4 points on the board. They don’t. Relatively well means being in a decent position to qualify and I think we will.

As an intended piece of wummery (which it can only be) it's so mind numbingly, ill thought out.
New balls are required, Nobbbbbbb.

I think his contract is up very soon so I don't think it is too early to give him a new contract. If we don't then we may lose him for zero, which is very poor financial management.
Hopefully he keeps his focus.

It would only be poor poor management if he keeps up his form, slips back to his normal way of playing then he’s no loss at all.

Luke Shaw epitomises our dull turgid football.
Decent enough defensively. Offers nothing going forward. 3 assists in 5 years is it?
