Things from tonight for Poch to consider

Great result tonight... sure Pickford should have seen red but a win is a win and England played very well, esp in the first half !!

moving on to Spurs, just wonder if tonight showed what is possible playing 4-3-3. Given our injuries and who's available i wonder if poch might play a similar system until we get some of our players back. I though Dier was immense tonight, really set the tone with some crunching tackles, Winks was neat and tidy as usual and really now needs minutes to get up to speed/ get his confidence. it was the role Barkley played which made me wonder if Lamela could do a similar job for Spurs (not that different in styles, both technically good but neither blessed with amazing pace... leaving Moura and Sonny to play the wide attacking roles either side of Kane ( who looks back to his best, gave Ramos the run around tonight) where Rashford and Sterling played so well tonight.... so.... for the west ham game.....

Woah. Okay I'll bow to the majority but to me he was chasing shadows last night.

His shadow gave Ramos a very good kicking then

TBF that was pretty tasty midfield 3 they were up against & they more than held their own. You knew they were gonna have the bulk possession and we'd have to play on the break and defend well... Thought they played it perfectly..... Got some lucky breaks but shlt happens

Not pointless at all. Ramos is a cheating b*stard and Dier was clearling stating...."not tonight Pal" We're gonna press hard from the front and if you ponce about on the ball like usual either me or H are gonna lump you..... Rattled Spain & 0-3 at halftime proves it

The thing that annoyed me was that there was nothing really wrong with the tackle that got Dier booked. He took the ball and there was NO INTENT to injure or hurt Ramos.

This is a physical contact sport that is having the physical contact removed

The next person to suggest Lamela plays in midfield should be banned from this site for life.
