So the appointment went through a week back and it seemed a formality once Henry passed on the Villa job, surprised Wenger was not considered for the role. But I was interested to see comments on the guardian regarding his chances of success.
Villa wanted to appoint Henry in the summer, and there was an outcry from few groups citing his lack of experience compared to Steve Bruce credentials. You wouldn't get the same kind of comments if John Terry was the candidate the Villa boss chose but Im not going to debate that because I understand how things like this are viewed in this country.
Without making this a black or white thing, I cant help but get the feeling it is so much harder for a black manager to be taken seriously in football. Rikaard faced the same problem at Barca & Viera could be in for a hard time at Nice. Just hope both do well.

Henry didn't get the Villa job, but a week later he was appointed Monaco manager, which is a better job with a better budget, probably better wages in a better part of the world with a club he has a prior affiliation with in his home country.

Ofcourse their would have been an outcry if Bruce was sacked for JT.
The media are up the arses of the dinosaur managers like Bruce, Pulis, Rowett etc and everytime one is sacked always bang on about "unfair" that they were sacked, and that's before i factor in the stigma created against Terry.
