...being serious title contenders, a win against Leicester will put us level on points with them with a quarter of the season played, alongside Spurs.
Arsenal and Spurs have not really played well this season yet they are right in the mix for the title at this stage. Our best performances have both been wins against Fulham. I don’t think anybody expects us to win or even seriously say they will compete for the title, but it’s nice that for once we aren’t miles off the leaders in the early part of the season.
I do think people have got carried away with Chelsea, though. I did say a while back that they have had a favorable start to the season in terms of their fixture list and apart from Hazard, there is no truly top class match winner in that team. I am expecting 2 of the 3 London clubs to join City and Liverpool in the CL next season. I hate to say it but I think we might come up short but not through the lack of trying. It’s going to be an exciting season with one decent team and United missing out on top 4 by the end of the season.
With all the talk about Chelsea...

Agree
Chelsea looked very average today. So reliant on Hazard. They are definitely closer to the top 4 fight than the title.
Spurs and Arsenal have done very well to pick up the points they have and should both be around the top 4.

Got a bad feeling about leicester
Vardy will give us trouble if he plays

As you say though, nice to be in the mix at this stage

There’s often talk of a title challenge at this stage of the season. I don’t think there will be a title challenge at all from any team, unfortunately, and by the business end it’ll be a formality as to who wins the league. Arsenal going well, though. You’ll certainly be in the mix for top four. We are facked.

Leicester game will be a high scoring one at both ends

Not heard anyone claiming Chelsea being in the mix this season. In fact, at the start of the season, most pundits thought Chelsea would struggle to make the top four again, which could prove true if they don't buy a decent striker in the January transfer window. Yes, they had a good start to the season, but they were never talked as title challengers.

Dont think that Chelsea got it right today. Especially in the second half they were too passive.
Dont think there is a team in the PL who ülay outstanding football week in and week out. Teams like City and Pool winning games because of their individual class and their depths in the squad,

City still look the stand out tea. Pool have been pretty average but getting in the wins. Bar the Fulham game we have also looked very dodgy at times.
City will win it again
