Jose has just ruled Sanchez out of the Juve game - apparently hasn't trained this morning.
Hopefully that means Martial will retain his place.

He should do after his shift on Saturday!

He should, but I've thought that before and seen him dropped.

Quite a few of us have.
Jose had his favourites and will get them back in the team when ever Martial, Shaw, Bailly, Herrera and Mata have a bad game.
Yet Matic, Pogba, Sanchez and Lukaku are unndropable pretty much..
At least Jose has now started to drop Sanchez.

Do you ever think he will drop Lukaku VC?

I don't thing Sanchez could make it as a ten. Gives the ball away to much. I could see the him as a striker despite the lack of pace. Not all strikers are fast. Zlatan was very slow when he was with us.

No, I don't really see him making it as a 10 either - I did say it was his best chance. But I certainly don't see him making it as a striker either. Zlatan might not have had the pace anymore, but he was 6ft 5", very strong and agile, fantastic in the air and had been playing as a striker for many years and knew when and where to make his runs. He was a master of his art.
Sanchez is 30 in 2 months time. You really think that a 5ft 7" winger whose legs have gone is going to suddenly convert into a striker good enough to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world? I'd love to be proven wrong, but I really don't see it. Irrespective of whether or not he is intelligent enough to learn how to play as a striker in a short space of time, he simply doesn't have the physical attributes to play as the leading man. Especially playing under Jose, who loves to go direct.
Having said all of that, I wouldn't be against seeing an interchangeable front 3 of Sanchez, Martial and Rashford.

If you look at my first comment I also don't think he could do it here nor the PL, unless he is playing in a team based around him.
He isn't static like Lukaku and He's do better under a different manager if he were to play there. He could do it but not with us. Not in The PL. He played there in preseason and looked better there then out wide for us, though that's only preseason.
And we don't have any strikers that are Jose types. Lukaku fits the build but lacks everything else he likes in a striker. He could do no worse than Lukaku is at the moment.

Yes, he would perhaps have a better chance in another league - perhaps Spain. However, I don't see him really making the transition at a high enough level to be doing it for a top team. As you say, pre-season isn't really a true reflection of where players are at.
And I agree - we don't have any strikers that Jose usually likes to have up front. For me, the performance of Kane against Spain highlighted exactly what we are missing (under Jose). Lukaku doesn't have the touch, strength or intelligence to drop deep and take the ball and bring the wide forwards into the game. He often talks about wanting to improve his game and develop, but I do wonder whether he actually studies the game, as he never seems to have a game plan in mind of how he is going to get the upper hand over the defenders he is up against.
