UEFA have released how much each club earned in the Champions League this season and Manchester City did better than most
Manchester City racked up 63 million euros last season through their participation in the Champions League .
Every team that competes in the competition is given money based on how far they get, as well as a split of the TV market.
As winners back in May, Real Madrid (€88m) earned the most money, and the rest of the last four - Roma (€83m), Liverpool (€81m), and Bayern Munich (€70m) - were also generously rewarded for their winning streaks.
Beaten quarter-finalists Juventus (€80m) collected a hefty slice thanks to picking up a large share of the TV money, and Chelsea (€65m) were the only other team to have picked up more money than City .
That puts Pep Guardiola's side in the top quarter of earners from the competition, ahead of clubs such as PSG (€62m), Barcelona (€57m) and United (€40m).
In September, City reported a profit of £10.4million making it a fourth successive year in the black, according to the club's annual report.
Said chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak: "Most of the developments visible today are the result of a carefully crafted strategy - one in which organic evolution has also been allowed to thrive - and I have come to be as proud of many of those evolutionary elements of the plan as I am of those which were meticulously planned in 2008."

This is why seeding and rigged draws need to go. Why can't some of the smaller sides get a shot at further progression should they get a favourable draw.
