58 year Spurs record beaten!

PSG have won their first 12 league matches to surpass the record held by Spurs for 58 years, for teams in the top divisions in Europe.

It’s a shame that PSG were the ones to beat it, a poor league comfortably dominated by a club sponsored by a country!

However records are there to be beaten and 58 years is a hell of a long time.

Genius, I am surprised the record as lasted for so long, whe you look at some of the one and two team leagues around Europe. I was at three or four of those 11 games.

The domestic record of those 11 games, though I reckon will never get beaten.

Damn good record. Goes to show how good that team must have been for the record to be beaten by a team that cost about a billion, backed by a country, in a one team league.

French league shouldn’t be classed as one of the top leagues in Europe. Anything but

It's a great advert for the club, how when you look at the history, Spurs are first in so many of the footballing feats.

Unlike some clubs who have recently started winning titles with the help of foreign head and money.

You can buy titles, but you can't buy history

What clubs would that be?

Why not? They had a Europa League finalist last season and CL semi finalist the year before. Their record as a country is hardly any worse than ours.

Who was their last European champions? The Dutch league has more European pedigree for crying out loud

Dutch league was always a lot stronger than the French league, a couple of clubs that have sugar daddy owners will not change that. Ajax won the European Cup three times in a row, Feyernoord were always very good. It is only money that has skewed European leagues now.
