There were *a few* who went overboard with the predictions, but most of us who have their heads screwed on a little more firmly knew from the outset that Arsenal under Emery aren't the pushover they've been in previous seasons.

Tbf your manager is deliberately changing your style of play to ensure you don't concede many and don't lose many games like yesterday. The change in style is very deliberate and very obvious, and VVD is no more solely responsible for your defensive improvement as he is for your attacking regression.

It's a smart strategy, as Liverpool are losing less games and are keeping themselves in contention. But they have lost the right for moral superiority in terms of football played over trophies. Right now they're a dull team attenoting to win at all cost
