Big game Mustafi, did say to my mate when the stakes are high he raises his game. Best player on the pitch by some distance.
Torreira was comfortably the best midfielder on the pitch and makes it easier for Xhaka who also had a good game albeit aided by a pathetic Liverpool midfield.
Bellerin Just great to see him just get better.Was not fit but didnt need to be as Liverpool didnt turn up.
I know some will have a go at Leno, but in most moments he read the game perfectly and he allowed our defenders to leave that area in front of him and mark Salah and Mane out of the game. Cech would not have come out for some of those balls and it would have put us under pressure.
I thought we really controlled the game well.Ozil was decent and not the right call to start Auba even though he caused their right back problems.
As for Liverpool, van Dijk is the only real player who turned up, maybe with Mane.

Aubas was blocked at the source pretty much. The ball had yards to tracel before we know what may have been. Not exactly like VVD's shot and his free header is it. Should be giving the keeper no chance.

I would have taken a point before the game but regardless of performance, Liverpool still scored two goals to Arsenal's one goal but for the officials denying Mane.
Both teams should have had a pen too IMO.

Aubameyang had a free header which he inexplicably ballooned over the bar. A shame as his leap was fantastic.
Also Allison punched out a cross/shot straight to Mkhitaryan, who really should have controlled and tapped in. In addition to that header earlier in the half.
Both teams had good chances. Good game.

we had chances in this game, its just that Liverpool got chances against the run of play so it seems like they had all the chances and we had none.
1. Auba deflected by Gomez after shot at goal
2. Lacazette saved by Allison at point blank range
3. Mikhi's header before Allisson pollaxed him
4. Auba shot deflected by van Dijk, after the Ozil flick back
5. Lacazette shot from a wide angle
6. Torreira chance straight at Allisson
