Terrible Game Management

The first 65 minutes was a very good, solid, clinical performance in my opinion. After that, we did all we could to let the lead slip.

What was driving me facking mental at 1-3 and 2-3 is we were getting the ball and bombing forward frantically as if we were chasing a winner. And then when we lost the ball, Wolves could counter. We opened the game right up for them which is exactly what they needed.

All we needed to do was keep possession and slow the game down, but we played right into their hands.

It really p15sed me off that Poch or some of the players didn’t spot this, or if they did, the instructions weren’t followed.

Anyway, let’s not forget the first 65 minutes was actually a decent performance, and a win away at Wolves is a good result.

Spurs are the jammiest team in PL since Burnley last season. Score the few chances they have and get lucky decisions that win them points like the wrongly disallowed goal today.

Wolves offside goal should have stood but their second pen was a joke

Anyway Newcastle should have had a pen v you when they were 2-0 up

Spurs make Man Utd defence look rock solid. The only difference is Spurs get away with the opposition needing like 15 chances to score against them while we are conceding like a goal every 7 chances.

But if we shut up shop then everyone complains that we don't put teams to the sword and just invite pressure on ourselves.

We have played a bunch of games i na short time period.
And we were missing probably the most reliable defensive player, Vertonghen. Today showed just how important he is to the team. Also it doesn't help that we are missing Rose at LB, and for some reason Twittier is favored over madman Aurier.
Just thank God that Lamela is back in top form.

At 3-1, a two goal lead with twenty minutes left. Shutting up shop is fine.

Poch is losing the plot with game management and eam selections it's like he's gone backwards as a manager. Is done the hard bit getting us up their each season with less resources that other clubs and building his squad, but he just does the easy things wrong too often

Spurs should have had a penalty at Old Toilet in your 3-0 drubbing, when Lucas was scythed down by Phil `The Donkey` Jones.

we are awful at seeing out games. for all the plaudits poch gets, the inability to do that points to poor management, or thick players, or both. some very simple game management is needed. break up the game. keep it simple. play the game in their half. take time over set pieces, go down under challenges and get the trainer on a few times to break up momentum. yesterdays last half hour was one of the most unprofessional displays I can remember seeing. 3-0 up with 30 mins to go v a newly promoted side, when we ourselves are a top 4 side... to be clinging on for dear life at the end is awful
