Morning all... Title says it all really !! Our goal difference vs our top 4 rivals is pretty pathetic. Of course there will always be the odd tight game esp vs top 4 rivals/ London derbies etc but I just cant remember the last time we gave someone a good kicking. We might not be as good as city, Liverpool etc but Saturday summed us up perfectly !!! I just cannot see either of those two sides hanging on at the end... they would have both gone on to win by 4 or 5... so why cant we ???
Given how close the top 4 could be, that old adage about GD being worth a point might well come back to hurt us. Don't wanna use injuries as an excuse as everyone has them & if the powers that be decided we weren't good enough to cope then we should have addressed that !!!
Is there something up with our mentality, attitude, fatigue, something Poch is doing differently. For all the bitching about the stadium that's not on anyone's mind at the point when we are struggling to put games away that we should be winning easy...... So what is it ??????

Somebody said to me at the weekend that we are playing well in the CL and getting naff all for it and playing badly in the Prem but winning, I thought that was pretty much spot on. We are now in early Nov which is about when Eriksen usually decides to start his season.

the frustrating thing is that when it was 3-0 away from home at wolves, with 30 mins to go, there is no reason why we should not have put in another 2. the crowd was dead. we were in complete control.... but we took our foot off gas, as usual, played like caaants, gifted them a goal and it ended up with them getting the 2 goals instead of us.
our GD was +1 from the game when it should have been +4 or 5 given where we were on 60 mins.
that lack of killer instinct and killing off games properly, coupled with a lack of professionalism is already costing us points (esp in CL) and will continue to do so.
however, we never learn, so its pointless me even saying this, as nothing will change.

This has been a tough season for Spurs.
What with the stadium, the lack of signings and now injuries racking up to key players its difficult for us to be settled.
We need a settled team to be able to get into that groove and start to thump teams.
Rotation has been criticised in the past but really this season its been enforced - Rose, Vertonghen, Eriksen, Alli all missing. Now Dier and Dembele. Along with everything else its huge disruption to the team.
We have some defensive uncertainties and when you then add a badly out of form Davies, and error prone Trippier and a 20 year old Argentine youngster on debut to the back 4, together with no DM and a CM pairing that's never played before it is not surprising that a decent Wolves team were able to get it down and start playing their football and causing problems.
The individual errors are unforgivable and there have been plenty this season, especially by Trippier and LLoris.
But for all our woes, we are still 4th. We need some luck with injuries. We need some players to return to better form and then no doubt we will click again. There is also no doubt that we need some fresh legs in the team. Something better at DM and the full backs too. Get that strong defensive base back then we can build from there.

Stating the obvious but we haven’t scored enough and then we have silly lapses like Saturday. City’s goal difference is something you usually see on a computer game.
