Along with quite a few on here I've always been a big fan of his. Is he the most gifted of midfielders? Not particularly. However he gets this club. He understands what Manchester United is all about and he's a real leader for us. I love his Sh1i1thousing ability too. Gets under the skin of opponents.
How on earth was Antonio Valencia made captain over him? Herrera is such an under rated player for us. Gives us energy and bite in the middle and is tidy on the ball.
Same 11 at the weekend? Maybe Rashford in for Lingard.

His anticipation is great too, has a real knack of intercepting things in fairly dangerous positions, something Carrick was great at
I get the impression he genuinely loves the club, which is a bit of a rarity these days. I think he should be starting ahead of Matic as well, though think the big Serb had one of his more decent games for us last night.

Agree on Herrera but Lingard to keep his place on Sunday, for me. He is more creative than Rashford and his workrate will be needed.

Yep, i'd give Herrera the armband and play him every game he's fit.
Quality player with a real footballing brain. Hopefully we get to see Herrera, Fred and Pogba soon.

I certainly think this would be our most energetic midfield. Hopefully Fred can push on. I have seen enough to see there is a good player there.
