Own up: who grassed Spurs

The Advertising Standards Authority has contacted Tottenham Hotspur to express concerns over posters the club commissioned boasting their new stadium would be the only place to watch Champions League football this season.

The body investigated a complaint that suggested the advert was false because the new £850million stadium won't be completed until at least January.

So who grassed Spurs.... must be a Goøna or a Dip!

Ah yes, fans of the two biggest and most successful clubs in England shouldn’t dare mock the big, bad cockneys.

By the way, this is really a non-story for the benefit of those who are culturally challenged and read the daily fail

https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-contacted-by-advertising-standards-agency-after-arsenal-fan-complains-about-club-s-stadium-a3984301.html

Tottenham have been served an 'Advice Notice' by the Authority, advising the club to avoid making claims in future advertising that they cannot fulfil.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
But its facking true innit, promoting CL footy to sell premium seats when there is no CL footy to be seen. Just because its football doesnt mean you can violate marketing and advertising rules.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No you fool!

When the advert was made, the plan was Spurs would be in our new ground by then. But now the plan has changed, so the ad contravenes truth in retrospective?

Why would the Ad ombudsman upheld this as it's a trivial matter and the ad was correct at the time of going live?

They could ask the ads to be removed but I smell some job's worth made the decision!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No one has ever seen CL footy in the new place and never will this season, so from start to end its a facking lie.
