I have just read Neil Lennons response to Joses antics last night.
The Hibs boss said: "I enjoyed Mourinho after the game. I was thinking 'Yeah, I know exactly how you're feeling', but then the reaction totally smacks of double standards and hypocrisy. And that's where we are with the game up here in Scotland sometimes.
You know what I'm talking about, with the reaction to what Jose did.
"It was fun, it was banter, love it, that's the mainstream down there [in England]. Up here it's goading, inciting violence, inciting a riot."
Are people really describing what Jose did as 'fun' last night?
Do they really 'Love it'?
Given that;
1. Mourinho was ushered off the pitch before the situation got out of hand
2. Jose himself has already said 'I probably shouldn’t have done it, and with a cool head I wouldn’t have done it'
3. Not one of the half a dozen or so reports I have read of the game have described it as 'fun' or stated that they 'loved it'. I havent seen anything encouraging that type of behaviour or describing it as a positive thing.
4. Paul Scholes is pretty mainstream and he said “This is everywhere he goes," the BT Sport pundit said. “You need to win with a bit of class sometimes, shake the managers hand. I don't think there's any need for it but that's the way he is."
So....in summary - WTF is Lennon going on about?
