Mourinho stated that he would never have sold Welbeck, Hernandez, and Di Maria
Looking at the defence, midfield and attack that LVG had, I am starting to look at his time here a bit more favorably.
We were boring to watch but had we had a better strike-force, I think we could of won games comfortably, as we were pretty solid at the back.
At least we could give Man City a good game under LVG. God, I can't believe i'm actually thinking like this. Never thought I would say it!
LVG's United VS Mourinho's United

He’s just so frustrating and annoying, I foolishly want him to see how retaarded he is, but I guess there in lies the problem. It’s like he has some ja606 LVG alert, as soon as he’s mentioned he’s here defending him, often when no one is even slagging him off.

LVGs plan was a highly flawed, terrible possession for possessions sake tactic
No idea at all how to have the ball moving forward and people have forgotten just how bad the football got
Those games in December/January 15/16 were some of the worst games I’ve ever seen
......
Mourinho had even worse games then that. The last game at Anfield just one of them. Heck even last league game of last season we had only 7 shots 1 on target at OT against a weak team like Watford.
It wasn't possession for possession sakes. If you analyse the games most of our dominant games were the games we scored 0. Virtually every 0-0 we were by far the better team. Funnily enough under LVG we used to score 3 goals in games we created like 10 chances but consistently score 0 in games we created 15 chances or more. Most of the 0-0's we were by far the better team.

Also the CL failing wasn't LVG fault. We had 83 shots in 6 group games and scored 7 goals and allowed 41 shots and conceded 7 goals. Mourinho Man Utd allowed tons more shots in each CL group campaign and got away with it.

Also in 29 home games in LVG final season only Arsenal outshot is and we usually had double the shots of the opposition or by far the best chances in all the games at home.
People say we needed to take a risk but the reality was many teams did to LVG what Mourinho is known for as in parking the plane/bus lol.

I reckon average position of opponents vs Man City under Guardiola are similar vs Under LVG Man Utd. I think stats showed teams rarely got out of own third against us or could string a few passes together.
