Half of that, some fans have the most ridiculous ideas of the value of the players of the team they support. That price would put him on a level with Hazard and KDB. Nobody on earth would put Eriksen anywhere near their level. Clubs that can afford more than £50m wouldn't want him as they mostly have better already.

100m is not unrealistic in today's market, you've got goalkeepers and centre halfs going for 70m - 75m, Pogba 90m, the Black Mark Noble for 60m etc etc. Ultimately it is what a club is willing to pay, Pool for example don't mind paying double for the players they want.

Nobody is paying 100m for Eriksen. That kind of money would be what is needed for Hazard and KDB, players massively better than Eriksen.

Its supply and demand.
GKs are harder to find than creative midfielders and yes you are right, someone is only worth what a club is prepared to pay.
That is why Eriksen wouldnt be anywhere near 100 million although he is an exceptional talent.
There are simply to many players of a similar or superior level that would cost much less.
Dont get me wrong I think Levy would ask for it but he would never get it.
Spurs cannot afford to lose him at any cost really

Well, hopefully Levy gives him a good contract and he is around for a few more years. He won`t be easy to replace.

Be interesting to see if Spurs can cement their CL status and move into the new stadium, will their wage bill share the big club status they would need to replace Eriksen?

If Levy reaps all the cash but refuses to pay out the big club money I will start to question whether he is the right man for the future.

You dont get trophies for bargain hunting and you should always look to reinvest your profit, its the fans money after all.

If Mata runs down his contract at United he would be a good and creative signing for Spurs. Always thought he is a tidy footballer, and a decent human being to boot. Not the youngest but worth having if you can get him, he deserves better than to work with the Moany one.
