Yes and how do you know how early Kante spoke to Chelsea? You simply don’t know the dates to make the claim that Jose should have contacted him sooner, or whether doing so (if even possible) would have made any difference. So it’s completely pointless to complain about.

Kante mentioned himself that Jose contacted him a little too late and that Conte shower he wanted him more.

It's easy to forget about the mammoth list of flops too. City had likes of Jo, Roque Santa Cruz, Robinho, Adebayor, Nolito and plenty others too.

Not every transfer works out and it never will either. However they've spent better than we have overall there's no doubt about it.

Fergie did not get all the players he wanted but managed to be successful with the ones he got.

Most decent managers do this as well. We have signed players the manager wanted and have gone backwards, so the signings are not the immediate problem.
