Messi Lingard

That's 4 goals in just 14 England games for Jesse. Meanwhile....

Raheem 'world class' Sterling now has 4 in 47 and Dele Ali has just 3 in 33.

Doesn't get the credit he deserves does Jesse.

What a load of crap.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What is? So 4 in 47 is good record then for a so called world class player?

It's all well and good doing the business in this City team where you have 70% of the ball and dominate everyone.

For England he looks really really average. Because he isn't really that good. David Silva, Bernardo Silva n KDB make players like him look good. When he's got Dier Henderson and Lingard/Ali behind him instead how's he done?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So possibly the greatest football manager around has repeatedly claimed that Sterling is an integral part to the team and how he wants the game to be played and he's put in a huge amount of effort in improving everything in Sterling's game.

Would Pep do this to an average, mediocre player?

Love for someone to bring up his big game record at City too. I'm sure I read recently it's quite poor. Must have played Utd 6/7 times now and can't recall him scoring against us (although may be forgetting one).

Has he scored Vs Liverpool yet? Chelsea?

Why can't he do it without Pep and a galaxy of stars behind him then? I see you're dodging the question.

Rooney got pelters for England and has a near 1 in 2 record. Id expect him to do better than Sterling as more of a fwd but 1 in 12 for a player of his so called ability is awful.

He's a bit of a flat track bully like Lukaku. He even does the business for City in the games against the lesser sides. His record against the big clubs is poor.

Sterling is a class talent. Needs to improve his composure in front of goal, which will come with age and experience. He’s devastating at his best and still a concern for defenders at his worst because of his pace and what he’s capable of. Much like Rashford.

Southgate has got a good young squad and they’re playing with passion and flair. We’re by no means world beaters, but I haven’t enjoyed watching England this much since the 90s.

“When he's not playing in the fantasy football team of Abu Dhabi moneybags he's a very mediocre player.”

Two posts later. “It’s not an anti City agenda though.” Get a trip you saddact.

The game should have been over in the first half if Sterling engaged his brain and passed to his team mates at the right times

It's not. David Silva is a wonderful player. So is Aguero, KDB n Bernardo.

Sorry if you don't agree with me. His record in big games for City and his entire England career backs me up anyway. He's really quick. I'll give him that.

You do realise he’s not just on the pitch to score goals?

There is a valid point in that, although if you watch his chance back, he was looking for the pass across to Rashford - that’s exactly what he would do if it was our game as it creates a much better chance. The problem was he couldn’t because of where the defender was and the run Rashford was making - he needed to stop as he was fully covered.

Watch that bit back.
