On Sunday Wolves welcome David Wagner and his Huddersfield side to Molineux, the first time the two sides have met in the Premier League.

Last season Huddersfield finished 16th in the league having accumulated only 37 points, just 4 points from relegation. The points coming from 9 wins and 10 draws.
So far, this season has not been very different, the Terriers’ only win coming against bottom club Fulham. Prior to that, quite frankly, they couldn’t beat an egg! Arguably their best result so far this season was a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.
Currently sitting second from bottom in the table with just 7 points it is clear that the Terriers are struggling in this league.

By contrast Wolves are flying and go into this game on the back of a very impressive performance at The Emirates where it is generally agreed that Arsenal were very lucky to grab a point. The result was the third 1-1 draw that Wolves have recorded in 4 games against ‘top 6’ sides this term with Spurs being the only one to find a way to break down their normally resilient defence.

After the flair shown on the break by Wolves forwards at Arsenal whilst being repeatedly denied by the Arsenal keeper and by the crossbar and with Huddersfield having already shipped 22 goals, this game could be the one where so many people have predicted Wolves giving someone a spanking. Certainly if David Wagner is to reverse the fortunes of his team it would seem unlikely that this will be the game for him to do it!
