He’ll be back before long and will either claim to have one punch knocked out Mayweather Jr, born in a manger outside the MegaStore™️, or have been training in Trump’s new SpaceForce. Or some other dumb lie that he would, no doubt, not remember in a few weeks.
His track record of that is unbelievably good.

Either way works China, although it’s still a generalisation. If you look back on the threads about City, then the defence was about the incorrect facts, not the ethics.

It’s fine to be critical as long as it’s done from a position of self awareness. A lot of the responses on this thread seem to be only about one poster really, who I think lacks that trait a bit...

Its a tad unaware to compare this with what City and PSG did and place them on the same pedestal.

I would say every top club has done something on the side to smooth a transfer at one time or another, and when it comes to City can you honestly say they haven't?

They've probably done it many times, like everyone else, in addition to their other transgressions which are unique to Manchester City.

What City and PSG were doing is unprecedented and will probably never be seen again now that people are aware.

IMO it's important to have that in mind.

It isn’t though, that’s my point. Two quick things, I don’t think equating the two is fair either, there are scales within that too.

Also, both those clubs failed ffp and got sanctioned. That is a world away from what happened in the eighties where the entire financial model was circumvented.

I know the arguments City fans put up at this point and this brings me to my point about self awareness.

All these stories of how other clubs have had this or that rich owner are still not the same as what City did, nowhere near. But City fans lack the self awareness to discern that fact.

No other club has been proven to do what City did as far as I can tell, perhaps in future.

Chelsea might have but its not proven or even alleged by emails and internal correspondence like at City.
