Why wouldn't it be legally implemented? If Barca agreed to it and signed paperwork stating they agree, then what's the issue?

The issue is Serial says it can't.

I'm not entirely sure this 'clause' can be legally implemented. Sounds like the BBC pro-liverpool PR machine talking a load of ballacks.

Its been reported everywhere that its a 100 million premium on top of any fee. Sure it wouldn't be a clause if it wasn't like that.

It sounds like it's basically a clause to ward off any unwanted approach for a Liverpool player and ensure that Barça don't try the backdoor route of unsettling a player so that he pushes for a move.

It's very unlikely that Liverpool would want to enforce the agreement on a player they'd be happy sell for a good fee.

At the time we had Firmino, Salah and Mane ripping it up so I think that will have been in mind.

It must have been part of the deal to get Cout in Jan. Like Edwards must have been ok grand you've turned his head like the girl in the exorcist so now try that again and its going to cost 100 million.

One way or another Edwards is doing a great job.

Only 18 odd months ago he was seen as a faceless rep for FSG and many fans, myself included, were sceptical of him. But seems hes just quiet in how he works and doesn't crave lime lightime say Woodward at united does.

Love it. They absolutely rinse clubs but I've never heard of this before. Doubt it will be long before Real and Barca sniff around VVD really although Barca have more pressing concerns up front I reckon. Ramos ain't getting younger though.
