Looking to next season...

I know we've got loads of the current season still to go but realistically we've got the FA cup and an uphill struggle to get 4th to look forward to. The CL isn't even worth debating. If we manage to get through the group, which we really should do now, then we'll be one of the teams most of the big boys want in the next round sadly.

Anyway looking to next season......

If I told you now that we'd be under a younger more attack minded manager, we'd play some good football, blood some more of the youth, finally look like we've got our identity back and plan going forwards but ultimately just miss top 4.......

or.......

We'd keep Jose or appoint somebody very similar, continue to play a similar brand of football as now but fix our defence and finish 3rd or 4th...

Which one would you choose?

I know top 4 is important for financial reasons and that the best players want to play in it.....However if it meant us missing out this season and next season but us getting a style of play befitting of this great club back and genuinely seeing some attacking football every week then I'd be all for it.

Not sure why some fans are completely writing off the CL.

Worse or equally as average teams from PL have won the CL in the last 15 odd years.

For instance if the Juve games were two legged tie we’d have gone through.

This is not me saying we’ll win the CL but stranger have and will happen again in football.

Yes, there is certainly a chance, albeit around the 3% mark.

No, it really isn't.

As far as I’m concerned it is. Better teams in it.

Win the League. Anything else is a nice bonus.

There are also some worse teams in the CL than you may come across, than in the prem.

And you can win the CL without playing the better teams.

It’s not overly likely, but yes you can. The best teams however are better than anything in the prem.

You cannot win the Prem without being the best side in the league that year. The same does not apply to the CL
