Decent season so far, despite the

horrendous injury list, Spurs sit just a few points of the top of the table, last eight of the League cup, and still in Spurs own hands, although difficult, in the CL. Pretty happy with the way things are going. What's not to like. Only the serial moaners would have a downer on the club as it stands.

Tough three games coming up, and in reality you need your best players starting in these sort of games, given that I would be confident of three victories, but as the side likely to be seriously weakened, especially at the back, could possibly see three defeats, although still hoping for three wins.

Nevertheless I shall continue to back the side, whoever Poch picks, will not be moaning about not playing at the new stadium, lack of signings, to much rotation, etc, etc. Now is the time to get behind the team. It is what it is, absolutely nothing any of us can do about it.

Here's to a victory over Chelsea at the weekend, then maybe take a good win into the next two games.

Feel really sorry for Pochettino, been totally coned by Levy and as I said early season will be classified by me as a great manager if he wins anything this season.

How can you say he has been conned by Levy, he is getting paid a fortune, and his team will be playing in a spanking new stadium, hopefully this year. I should think Poch is just about the happiest manager on the planet, for what Levy has given him.

First up Chelsea with Martin Twatkinson in charge

Will it be business as usual and a shafting for Spurs from the officials or will Twatkinson officiate a game correctly for once.

It been okay result wise and I suppose that’s all that matters

If Poch is as smart as he looks he should stay at Spurs long term regardless of interest from the likes of Real Madrid etc.

Not just saying this as a Spurs fan but going Barcelona or Real Madrid for example you'll quickly be forgotten regardless whether you've won or not.

Spurs are progressing forward on all fronts (with the exemption of this summer) and he can build something he can call his own. A genuine accomplishment which would get more credit than trophies at a dominant team.

I think there is some validity in that and £8,500,000 a year won't hurt either.

I disagree. If he’s ambitious then there’s only so long he should be prepared to wait for us. For arguments sake, he could get to 7-8 seasons with us having plenty of plaudits but no trophies, by which point a few of our best players have left and we regress....

Don’t get me wrong, I hope he wins something this season and I certainly don’t ever want him managing Madrid, but he’s got to protect his own interests too.

What’s not to like? Being 3rd out of 4 teams in our CL group.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

To be honest, CL (when actually in it) is probably last on priorities IMO. I've never been bothered about finishing 4th or 1st because we'll get booted out sooner or later.

We need to win the league or FA cup first before we set our eyes on anything else.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agreed, CL is just a bonus competition. It would be a half decent competition with a straight draw, no seeding, and no country protection. As it stands, it is geared to get the same teams winning it year on year.

Its more than a half decent comp

You don't think you disagree at all you've just extended from what I've said. If we're not progressing every year then it's only right for him to reconsider the position rather than wasting his years there.

But we've shown improvements since he's joined and a new stadium round the corner. He can show that ambition here more so than by joining a ready made billionaire's club who only needs a sane person to win the league ala PSG.

Not all trophies are the same. Ranieri's Leicester carries a lot more accomplishment and achievement than Guardiola's Bundesliga for example.

Each to their own and all that, but I’d much rather have Guardiola’s CV.

Lawro thinks we'll beat Chelsea 2-0.
Now that's a kiss of death
