Really? Five or more languages and unintelligent? I’m as frustrated as most by his failure to adapt and his apparent lack of awareness of what really matters to fans, but I’ve always liked the guy and would certainly not think of him as unintelligent when I hear him speak.
Increasingly it does feel like there’s a point he wants to prove in interviews, even if proving it wouldn’t make his job any easier. I’m sure he understands his situation better than I do, but I would guess he’s deeply frustrated that, even with United’s clout, he’s way behind Pep, and that he hopes comments like these might just cause a few of his players to take a bit more responsibility than he feels they are taking. Not necessarily good management, but not really a lack of intelligence as you’re implying. Sadly, I think he’s out of ideas in a purely footballing sense.

“I can’t be facked to wait for the players to mature, or to be more precise, I struggle to coach players which is why I loved my time at Inter so much with a bunch of seasoned pros who were able to coach themselves. At Chelsea the first time round, I had players mature beyond their years which is why I enjoyed that too. I can’t be dealing with inconsistent youngsters like De Bruyne which is why I give them little leeway or slack and then blame someone else for them leaving and flourishing elsewhere”

Let's be honest he's not all that intelligent otherwise United wouldn't be sheet and he wouldn't be saying these things with stupid regularity.
Unless he's engineering the sack and a huge pay off, in which case its genius.
