Enough is enough

How much longer will this go on for?

Everyone in the ground and everyone at home can see that he needs to go, why can’t Ed?

I love united with every bone in my body but Christ it’s hard to like them at the minute!

PS - take lukaku with you Jose. Fecking donkey

Myself, Busby, MUDD, VC, United we win and a lot of other fans did say stay away from Mourinho. This script was written a long time ago.

He is being made to look like an amateur by Pep
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Me included. I didn't want a 3rd year for LVG but I certainly didn't want JM. I got behind him when he came but I did warn that this would happen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I will openly admit that i welcomed Mourinho at the start. I always knew in the back of my mind that there was a chance it may not work out with him because of his prior failures in recent pasts. But i wanted to give him a chance as it was us he was coming to.

But things haven't gone to plan, and i will admit that i was wrong about him. He has had chance after chance to turn things around and he has failed to achieve that - alongside spending vast sums of money on players who have generally turned out average at best regardless of their abilities prior to arriving at United.

Now it is really time for him to leave and bring in a capable manager.

...And the sad thing, that is just only trying to solve part of the bigger picture.

So much to do, so much to improve.

As soon as he signed we were on the same page. I have defended him a lot on here and even now, I try to be fair to him with my articles but it's now time for us fans to be realists and stop living on the romantic idea that Jose will turn things around and be a success here.

Just to clarify, that's not an attack on you, I'm saying that we are very much on the same page.

Lots of empty seats again today, turgid football and plenty of boos at full time. The walls are starting to close in on Mou I think.

He’s obviously not right for us, but unfortunately there are far bigger problems at the club than just him.

Oh none taken mate. Never even saw it that way lol.

But yes, the romantic idea of the 'special one' turning it around are long gone. So is his days of actually being special. He hasn't evolved with the times of football tactics and is too rigid for United.

In a way i do sympathise for him - you don't become a great (past) manger overnight like that. But for many reasons it just hasn't worked out for us both. It would be best if he left and we found a capable manager of handling the team in a positive way.

As for Jose, i think a time out sabbatical would do him good.

I think a strong part of what makes JM teams successful is their belief in him and his football. In most cases their sheer desperation for success. It doesn't work at clubs where football style and success is of equal merit and importance.

He also created this effective us against the world mentality that enabled him to get 110% from his past teams.

He created a special unity that was difficult to break down...

...Until when things go pear shape and he starts to attack within/loses the plot 3rd season syndrome. Then the harmony becomes disharmony and he is eventually sent into exile...

...But at United it seems like the board are trying to show the football world that we are different in handling matters and that we try to be more patient and fair with him - but this comes at a cost as has shown. And even the board now can not truly admit that what they are doing or not doing to be precise is costing the club at least on the field for now.

Very true. Similarly, the way our fans support the team and the manager is a reason to be proud but it also enables to board to keep up this pretence a bit longer too.

We're 5 years down the line and very little progress has been made. Short term solutions just don't work no matter how long you give them to turn things around.

Worst thing is i don't even get angry now. I expect turgid sheite football and i am rarely disappointed.
I had to laugh at lukakus first touch in that 2nd half. Touch on the halfway line that nearly ended up on the edge of our own box
